I may have to begin upkeeping daily updates.
Two days ago, we received spoilers on season 14 via pre-screenings, with promises of multiple punches in the face to antis in mere minutes.
Yesterday, we received the gift of Jensen merrily filming Misha Pieing Trump* in the face.
Today, 10/4/2018, Mitch Kosterman, brother of Clif, J2’s bodyguard, formerly in close association with the Kelloggs Club, retweeted this.
I am unsure the state the fandom will be in. There is one week left in hiatus and this shows no sign of slowing.
Honorable mention: J2 Hats are still arguing and angry about Jensen’s last interview and Jared’s lack of appearance. This storm may take the full week to subside.

People are staring at me while I am writing in my diary and aggressively eating popcorn, enraptured. Also, it has been brought to my attention that I failed to incorporate major updates of 2k18, such as The Ineffable Post. Perhaps, of course, because it is Ineffable. Apparently I deleted the memory base due to the level of personal exposure for the subjects related to the event, but it has been restored from my mental recycling bin. This, partnered with Mitch’s retweet, is threatening to make *me* think in Cockles wavelengths.
Help is needed, situations are dire. Packaged heteronormativity is urgently requested.

Mitch Kosterman (who seems like a lovely guy btw) issued a smackdown to J2 tinhats who were harassing him by stating that it’s “just a wild fantasy” even though some fans think it’s real.
He at first, in response to J2 tinhat hatred, said that he didn’t think he actually had RTed it but that it was cute anyhow. He also said that he doesn’t care if people ship J2 even though he knows from his real life experience that it’s all just a fantasy. Someone later showed him that he had RTed the gif and he said “oops my bad.” Here’s the sequence of tweets on the topic:
It’s actually not 100% clear to me whether his comments on fantasy vs. reality are for just J2 tinhats or Cockles shippers too – could definitely be both, and I say that as a very loud and enthusiastic fan of all forms of JenMish. I think it’s more targeted at the J2 folks, though, for the simple fact that they are the ones who sent hate…Cockles people aren’t in the threads (probably all passed out from the sugar coma that was the last 48 hrs).
ETA: I added that final tweet, which I think also makes pretty clear that the comments are about J2 not Jensen and Misha. Hmmmm.
Soooo…do with that what you will. It’s certainly another hardcore denial of the antis/tinhats from someone involved with the show and I must say that is satisfying. (To be clear, I say this because I have yet to encounter discourse from that camp that isn’t vitriolic towards perceived enemies…normal, polite J2 shippers you are probably out there, living your lives, and I am all good with you. You do you! But these jerks do give you an overall bad name.)
Friend, I worry for our wellbeing. None of us are safe.
But 3 though – I’m definitely reserving judgement for the premiere lol. We know that Luci is dead in canon, but Nick could be another character or iteration entirely.
The most viscerally painful part of this for me, however?

And the fact of the matter is that years of neglect has culminated into what we’re seeing right now…guilt-riddled and long-running depression coupled with extreme desperation from 13×23 manifested itself when he did the penultimate wrong thing for the right reasons: Michael!Dean.
Dean has to look in the mirror and fight back. He has to look in the mirror and distinguish what he wants from what he needs. He has to look in the mirror and LOVE what he sees so that he can break free.

I don’t care who you are or what you stan for, the moment you reduce Sam’s desires to leave the hunting life, to get out of the emotionally neglectful and abusive situation, who craved stability and safe that hunting would never provide, who thought the greatest thing was to sit down and have a regular Thanksgiving dinner that he could never have, to just a simple, “he was selfish and abandoned Dean,” you are dead to me.
