False Narratives aren’t just a bronly thing.

Given, the vast majority comes from them, but in the last few years, Castiel’s Angels (which is, as you can see in my #blacklisttaw and #castiels angels tag actually a front for cling-on supporters of the jar of Mayo) have developed the most bizarre narrative designed to shut down any conversation they don’t find convenient to them. It’s in the vein of #OnlyLove but tries to employ #BeAMisha while, very clearly, knowing next to nothing about the man despite using his likeness.

Somewhere amidst the insanity of #nancy the destiel shipper memeing, one of their ken decided to try to passively aggressively QT me on twitter. Something something, be nice and understanding, never ever ever point out when someone is being ridiculous, be like Misha, Misha would NEVER, bc the comments on it were “all passive aggressive”.

Well, along with pointing out how utterly hypocritical her attempt to QT-condescend over it was, the question came:

HAVE YOU EVER ACTUALLY WATCHED MISHA COLLINS?

Because like.

Yes he goes out of his way to be kind or accommodating. But here, have some Misha no-tolerance for absolute bullshit behind a cut.

people take the interview he did with forbes about cyber bullying and take the line he said about not responding to bullies out of context and throw it around whenever someone rightfully gets upset and talks about it.

it really pisses me off that people would claim to be fans of misha and use him to silence people and i wish people would knock that shit off.

is it sad that i’m excited for the new season for more reasons than just the show itself?

i honestly can’t wait to see what bronlies are going to whine about/admit next. it’s become one of those things where destiel and love of chosen family has gotten so strong they’re admitting its there.

and they’re already talking about how they feel unwelcome because of the ensemble writing and i’m over here like “go with that feeling, babes.”

This. All of this. I love Jared and Sam, with all my heart, I really do. But I’ve never met anyone in the Castiel / destiel fandom that hated Jared or Sam. It just makes me sad that I can’t say the same the other way around.

Jared deserves better than what his fandom has become.

I can’t help but think that if a socially awkward (tho attractive) tree-topper is getting a person’s knickers in that much of a twist, maybe it’s time for that person to turn off the electronics, go outside, and remember that Supernatural isn’t real.

Seriously though. I’m comparatively new to both the fandom and Tumblr and I can’t figure out what the hell the point of hating Cas that much could possibly be…or how anyone could justify transferring dislike of a fictional character or plot into actual, real hatred of actual, real people. How does that even happen??

That’s just it. Their reality line is blurred. This is largely the same club that has convinced themselves that J2 are in a PR coverup for now-14-years. Most initial tinhats gave up and moved on after the first, or failing that, the second kid. But no, they continue to build grander and grander convoluded stories on already previously shattered premises they sweep under the rug, and further and further fail to differentiate the line of show-vs-reality the deeper the fall into Wonderland goes. 

Under the cut will be a bunch of stuff discussing this on like, an actual psychology level.

that last part about sam content? that’s important too. “it feels like putting blogs through federal background checks” IT DOES IT VERY MUCH DOES. (sorry for the font change but man) i love sam, i love jared, but it’s so damn hard to make and find solo content for him that isn’t soiled or jumped on by that lot.

on top of that, it seems to be affecting jared and how he views sam’s endgame. only once in the past few years have i heard him actually talk about sam having a LIVING future (let me know if there’s more because i love to hear him have some positivity about sam)

and it’s not just sam that gets ruined, either. it’s his bond with dean. two essential parts of the show get ruined for people to enjoy because they know all too well how people like kelios can take the sweetest, emotional, and most innocuous thing and morph it into a monster.

a friend of mine yesterday talked about how she wants dean to say “i love you” to sam and other tfw fans were like “but they’ll take it and twist it and i don’t want that.”

these people have taken something as wonderful and quite frankly normal and uncontroversial as siblings telling each other “i love you” and made people in this fandom be scared of that; be scared of wanting that. i spent all day calmly coaxing people into letting themselves enjoy sam and dean like they want. it was like talking scared abused animals out of hiding. it was sad.

tl;dr: their death grip on sam, on the bro bond, is affecting the rest of the fandom psychology and as a result jared too.
