I may have to begin upkeeping daily updates.
Two days ago, we received spoilers on season 14 via pre-screenings, with promises of multiple punches in the face to antis in mere minutes.
Yesterday, we received the gift of Jensen merrily filming Misha Pieing Trump* in the face.
Today, 10/4/2018, Mitch Kosterman, brother of Clif, J2’s bodyguard, formerly in close association with the Kelloggs Club, retweeted this.
I am unsure the state the fandom will be in. There is one week left in hiatus and this shows no sign of slowing.
Honorable mention: J2 Hats are still arguing and angry about Jensen’s last interview and Jared’s lack of appearance. This storm may take the full week to subside.

Also, it has been brought to my attention that I failed to incorporate major updates of 2k18, such as The Ineffable Post. Perhaps, of course, because it is Ineffable. Apparently I deleted the memory base due to the level of personal exposure for the subjects related to the event, but it has been restored from my mental recycling bin. This, partnered with Mitch’s retweet, is threatening to make *me* think in Cockles wavelengths.
Help is needed, situations are dire. Packaged heteronormativity is urgently requested.

The date is October 5th, 2018. It is hard to believe the above transpired in less than one day.
It seems Mitch Kosterman’s stand has quieted, but not been forgotten. His follower gain rate increased more than six fold above his average yesterday and trickle will continue. A vast amount of Cockles and Destiel accounts have been followed since.
We leave that, for now, to instead include this released special photoshoot for Halloween, in which an inclusive photographer seems to have been chosen.
I’m fairly certain I’ve entered an alternate universe.

Nonny it ain’t two halves it’s pretty much the whole fandom of positivity and inclusiveness, a large number of Destiel shippers, stans on all sides on the periphery and a handful of nasty Bronlies. Don’t let any of their angry vitriolic yelling lead you to believe they’re half the fandom cos that they definitely ain’t.
Pretty sure if they were even remotely close to half the fandom, the ratings wouldn’t be going UP every time they noisily boycotted and proved they weren’t watching (like 13×6 #mysupernatural boycott [13×6 went up more than 10%] or S8 Silent Majority protests [which recovered raw demo visibly even beyond the industry curve; just… raw number].)
Not even remotely close to half. Not even a pie cut. It’s that crumble off the crust that nobody wants cuz it’s kinda burnt anyway.
out of curiosity (because i’m making a “bronly edit” of s13 and had to check what episodes they boycotted), i counted the tweets in that hashtag. it came to a little over 600 from 24 hours before and 72 hours after. which sounds like a lot except at some point, people from the inclusive end, including myself and @intelligentshipper, started trying to use the hashtag for good. so iirc, about 100 needs to be subtracted from that number.
never mind that i shouldn’t even be able to count nor remember approximately what the number of tweets in a tag is.
also of note, i used hashtagify to gauge it’s popularity and plugged in #mysupernatural and lookie what i got

My girlfriend is running a promotion for livetweets for #TheOutpost #RenewTheOutpost and I will actually let myself hang over this. I’ll be unconscious for a sleep study, it’s a small show still pending on renewal notice and the CW may need a genuine push. My own mortification aside, literally any tweet you guys can drop between 6 PM EST-3AM EST today (Tues Oct 2 2018) would help. I’m giving her my twitter login creds to help boost it too, and there’ll be some other stuff posted by my other team members at CultFans on Twitter.
Seriously. Whether you watch or not, drop a tweet; but I noticed Sonalii (who plays Essa) joining the SPNFamily as a fan and wanting to get on Supernatural too has crossbred a decent portion of audience. (for the unawares, she’s trash for all three boys and does live watch parties of her binge watching at finales/premieres while trying to catch up to current seasons before S14.)
And of course, live watching or app watching is always encouraged. I’d say give it one shot, just one shot tonight during the finale, if you haven’t yet. It’s from an independent studio being given their first real chance and they have their own CW show and they are LITERAL GEMS and I love them and I have dragged Sonalii into the SPN Family kicking and screaming from personal conversations and like, if nothing else, “my friend is your friend”, give a friend a boost?

Keep an eye out, see if your work is being nabbed. Below the cut is some of the obvious horse shit going on. While it’s hazy if everyone will directly qualify this as “theft,” in the very least it’s crazy-unethical.

Every time someone tries to explain the metaplot of Supernatural to me, it basically ends up sounding like redneck Dragon Ball Z. I’m sure there’s some nuance I’m failing to grasp here.
Care to elaborate on that?
…I’m not even offended, just absolutely curious. From the stuff I’ve seen and heard about Supernatural I can’t see the connection.
Mostly, I get the impression of a show that doesn’t know how not to escalate.
Every threat’s gotta be quantitatively bigger and badder than the one that came before. Every deus ex machina’s gotta be shinier than the last one. Every season’s gotta end with a massive eleventh-hour powerup for our heroes, only for the next season to raise the stakes enough to put them back in the underdog position.
It’s like, you beat the Devil himself? Well, now you’ve gotta fight the Devil’s cousin Phil, who has conveniently gone entirely unmentioned up until now, but he’s totally twice as evil.
That last paragraph was literally supposed to be the most ridiculous hypothetical example I could think of, and people are messaging me to say “his name was Metatron, not Phil”. I can’t even make fun of this show.
