“cw open to all” except a bi male lead, canon destiel, wayward sisters, decent representation etc etc

They don’t owe you to make your ship canon. Stop being entitled.

But they do like playing with all the baiting and jokes and teasing comments. It’s not about entitlement. Brokebacknatural? Joined at the everything? Come on. You should ask them to stop it, not me.

A joke is not baiting. It’s a joke. Said by a villain. This fandom has a major entitlement complex.

Something I commonly see pointed out, The I Love You, I Love All Of You Moment, and their reactions to each other dying. There are plenty of other examples, Im sure, plus what op pointed out.

And sure, they dont owe it to us. Not at all. But one dang obvious and climax moment that would help make CW more “open to all” would be to make Destiel canon.

I tell my friends I love them. I kiss their cheeks and hug them when I see them. I am not attracted to them.

Destiel is not shipped by all, so that argument doesn’t stand. And same goes for Wayward Sisters, not everyone wanted the show, so let’s not claim otherwise.

oh i see. it has to be all or nothing? newsflash: if WE aren’t owed anything, YOU aren’t either

know what i want? for the writers to be allowed to write the story they’re trying to write. for spn to truly make sense to be included in a diversity campaign.

and for ship-shaming, crit-shaming antis like yourself to knock it off

I never claimed I was owed anything.

They are allowed to write the story they’re trying to write, but certain people aren’t happy about it so they call them all kinds of names and demand things.

I am not ship shaming. I don’t give a damn what you ship. I am, however, sick and tired of people think they’re entitled to other people’s creations.

“they are allowed to write the story they’re trying to write, but certain people aren’t happy about it so they call them all kinds of names and demand things.”

i’m going to address this because you think that it’s the audience that is forcing the writers into the destiel romance closet.

the audience has nothing to do with executive politics. which is exactly what’s at play here.

spn is cw’s longest running show. hell, it’s america’s longest running genre show. taking risks (even if the payoff will be astronomical) is frowned upon. just from what i’ve seen and heard, the writers WANT to write the romance we’re seeing, but they’re getting pushback from higher up.

also nah, bro. no one is calling writers “names” over destiel not being together. hell, even the hated duo bucklemming doesnt get called names. they ARE, however, being told they’re “pandering” whenever there’s blatant shippy moments (or even just having other characters around), being told they’re ruining the show because of said moments, told the show is just about the brothers, etc etc etc

and that ain’t coming from destiel shippers.

My other projects

So for those of you who follow me, or at least have for a while, you’ve probably caught me on-occasion hinting or talking lightly about other work. I’ve tried to keep my blog SPNcentric in my posts, but I have a decent chunk of followers and a message I *would* like the world to see.

So let me start this off: I’m honestly not a fan of the CW on a corporate level, and had pretty much sworn off every other CW show but SPN. But then, well… see… things happened. Great people – independent people – got given a chance. If you want to see what my heart has gone into beyond the cultish allure of Supernatural, or wonder why there’s been an actress frequently tagging me on twitter, or just want to give a new show a shot and an independent studio that is getting its first big break a look at… please, read below the cut.

1. arrow storm is full of the nerdiest sweetest sweet peas ever

2. sonalii is no exception and she’s a bamf

3. you want a fantasy story without the triggers of got? the outpost has gotchu. some other great things about it:

  • two of the four leads are women and one is a poc
  • it takes fantasy and other tropes and flips them on their head. tired of the same love triangle? they got it. tired of strong women being loner assholes who discover the power of romantic love? bam
  • one of the characters is inferred to be on the autism scale because that is how the actor is playing them
  • if you like supernatural’s theme of found family and family don’t end with blood, you’ll love this (cw is the found family network apparently and i’m ok with this)
  • most of the cast and tptb are giant super geeks. i followed jake stormeon before i started watching the show because he plays magic: the gathering, true story
  • at the outpost, it’s very matriarchal and the main villain is the patriarchy pm like dred is every misogynistic thought come to life

give it and arrowstorm’s other projects a go.

(oh and for those interested, sonalii is going to be watching 13×23 on wednesday)

someone told me on twitter: “let the writers write what they want!”

i mean they’re the ones queer-coding dean, not us. they’re the ones with the above written moments. they’re the ones going out of their way to make sure everyone knows dean and cas’s relationship is different from their relationships with others.

all we’re asking for is the big gay pay off to all of, well, this.

(side note: they also said it stifles their creativity. no, fam. making them write the same no homo bullshit is stifling them)

BY A WHAT

THATS ALL THE BIG SCARIES IN ONE BUG TFFF
JU

Give it a dime, apparently.

Had to go research this thing, and the answer to what to do if it stings you is scream.

from Wikipedia-

“One researcher described the pain as “…immediate, excruciating, unrelenting pain that simply shuts down one’s ability to do anything, except scream. Mental discipline simply does not work in these situations. In terms of scale, the wasp’s sting is rated near the top of the Schmidt sting pain index, second only to that of the bullet ant, and is described by Schmidt as “blinding, fierce [and] shockingly electric”.“

Soooooo…dissociate to escape or?

It’s laying eggs in you.

Let’s back up a second and fully appreciate that description.

The Schmidt sting pain index, a widely used classification system for the bites and stings of ants, bees and wasps, is literally the personal ranking system of a guy named Justin Schmidt, who goes around letting bugs sting him for science. Like, that’s this Thing as a scientist.

In one entry, he describes the sting of the common bee as “almost pleasant, [like] a lover just bit your earlobe a little too hard.”

In another, the sting of the yellowjacket is described as “hot and smoky, almost irreverent. Imagine W. C. Fields extinguishing a cigar on your tongue.“

So when the Schmidt sting pain index characterises the sting of the tarantula hawk as “blinding, fierce [and] shockingly electric”, well, now you know what your standard for comparison is!

this is fascinating but when do we kinkshame Justin Schmidt

How do you kids do it

I honestly don’t understand how people manage to run independent blogs for every single fandom or even subsets within the same fandom and multiple forms of SM all branched off. Like.

On twitter I made a twitter and then it became consumed entirely by SPN. And I made a tumblr for SPN. Then trying to escape SPN fandom I tried to make a personal but that got eaten by Outpost fandom but I tried to make a proxy professional account, and then I forgot about my personal, so I’m only efficiently managing two twitter accounts, one stan account and one business account somehow IDK, with personal rotting between. Then I tried to make a project blog away from my SPN blog but I can’t even do that. My FB always has about 2039420934 unchecked notifications. I haven’t touched Insta. I can barely keep up with this shit???

Like on tumblr everyone is like plz have extensive tagging system that’s crossnavigable and full of citations and I’m like, look. I’ll tag a character, a set, a ship, ratings, or #not spn and that’s about my capacity right there dawg. I can barely keep up with posting regularly on anything much less keeping it straighter than government documents

Like how do you guys do it I DONT UNDERSTAND

i, too, would like to know the secret behind that because i thought about making separate blogs but like… that’s a lotta work and i just got this one the way i want

HOW DO THEY DO IT I NEED TO KNOW
