The brothers do not live in an empty cosmos where only they exist, and forcing writers/artists to not acknowledge the lives around them is not in the spirit of this challenge. We’re allowing for show-realistic violence and swear words, with a hard PG13 limit.
And once again, the works are to be PLATONIC BROTHERS CENTRIC.

Why on Earth would anyone WANT Sam and Dean to be isolated and alone like that, living in a vacuum? The characters don’t even want that. Adding to their lives does not take away from their friendship and sibling relationship with each other. It’s not a competition or ‘choose: me or them’ (that’s abuse).
Your rules are simple, why is this an issue? There wasn’t a safe challenge that focused on them but without allowing incest shipping or overtones. You created one. This isn’t like there’s a rule “no heterosexual/slash pairings”, it’s “no incest”, which shouldn’t be a point being argued and rallied for but look where we are.
Let people have things even if they don’t cater to you, you sound like Dudley Dursley screaming about presents otherwise.
I mean, if Sam and Dean are your faves, I would think you’d be happy people are squeeing and writing happy fics centered around them, but because other characters exist in their lives… you’re mad? How does this make sense?

this isn’t a ship war thing. it’s a “we don’t want to include a trigger” thing. it’s such a normal thing to want that i’m gobsmacked at people railing against it.
they have all their other fic/art stuff. let us have this one thing, PLEASE.
i encourage everyone to write those fics and art that art anyway. this is for those wanting a fun positive bro thing. don’t let the nasties discourage you from having fun and loving the bros (and their family).
While I appreciate the sentiment of everyone who understands the point of BBCC (as I’m sure they appreciate as well), I might ask if we don’t wank up their reblogs henceforth. I’ll reblog this so people who are guarded *because* of past behaviors see what BBCC is really about: platonic, brotherly love without a risk of incest undertones, open family-friendly engagements and relationships outside of them while maintaining a very strong bro-content focused epicenter as the primary duo being focused on in the stories, but without pretending they still live in a vaccuum of isolation and being willing to celebrate the impact extended relationships (be it friendly or otherwise) have in their life.
Though I gotta say the pandemonium over not allowing incest in this competition but letting literally everybody and everything else in is fairly telling. Guys, seriously, take back the brother lane. Make it content people don’t have to recoil from. I know there’s people who write gen fics, but having bangs like BBCC and its sister bangs in the works are ways to take it back from that ick recoil we have to something we shouldn’t, because we love it but we’re always so worried about it. If you want a safe zone to write or read pure brother content in without being locked simultaneously into hard-other-ship lanes or hard-gen (ironic usage, but:), BBCC and its sisters are for that. Diverse and flexible content focused on the brothers while letting everybody else play in the lane too.

– hank talking about his son cole fondly while connor listens attentively. “…I wish I could have met him, Hank.” “Oh, he would have loved you.”
– hank text spamming connor just to be an asshole because he knows that shit pops up in connor’s vision all at once and connor hates it
– hank procrastinating on literally everything and connor nagging him about it
– connor fixing hank’s tie because he wants to even though hank knows how but he lets connor do it anyway because it makes him happy and hank has an excuse to stare at connor
– connor getting quiet and upset when hank makes self-derogatory comments and hank always feels guilty about it so he tries to avoid thinking them at all these days and corrects himself with something more positive when he slips
– hank keeping an abundant stash of thirium drinks for connor, just like he keeps endless bags of dog food for sumo. they’ll never run out and hank finds security in taking care of what he loves
– connor makes hank want to go on vacations again, and so they do quite often
– connor making romantic gestures like buying hank flowers and inviting him on frequent dates except it’s awkward and stilted because connor is connor and hank is too embarrassed. somehow things end up being more romantic than the cliché and it works out
– hank and connor visiting cole’s grave site together
– hank can always tell when connor’s lying to him or hiding something. sometimes he waits until connor’s ready to tell him unless it’s serious
– connor gives the best massages and hank is an absolute goner
