You know I’m thinking you can hear me. You just don’t wanna talk. I don’t know exactly what happened to your dad, but I know it was something real bad. I think I know how you feel. When I was your age, I saw something… Anyway, maybe you don’t think anyone will listen to you, or believe you. I want you to know that I will.
40 y/o white guy: Hey kid, ever hear about Rage Against the Machine? They really told it like it is! Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me!

40 y/o white guy: blue lives matter
RATM:Some of those that work forces, are the same that burn crosses
40 y/o white guy that claims he likes RATM: blue lives matter
Was it Paul Ryan that claimed to be a RATM fan? Like, nationally? In public? On TV? And then RATM came out and shut him down?
🙂

Also I totally remembered this exchange:
The band is called Rage Against THE MACHINE Do these fuckers think that they just don’t like that one shirtless guy’s standup bit???? What do they think THE LITERAL MACHINE IN THE FUCKING NAME is?

On some level, this is true. The more likely explanation is that “feminazi” is one of those “democrats are the REAL racists” style claims that were never going to be taken seriously. Insults like SJW have also declined due to an overall stigma associated with them. Even Smug Pepe has declined in popularity in 4chan. Nazism, while still a boogieman, shares more in common with the dissident right than progressivism.
However, the thing about rhetoric like this is that the moderate above is not going to say “What? I was a Nazi all along? Huh, I guess I better listen to feminists, because I don’t wanna be a Nazi!” I simply cannot imagine anyone thinking like this. The more likely response is “Well, I’m clearly not a nazi, but the number of people who seem to leap at calling me a nazi confirms my suspicions that ‘nazi’ really is just a slur that leftists throw at everybody they disagree with.”
This one of the reasons why people get pushed into nazism in the first place. There is no middle ground. The people saying “feminazis” were not nazis to begin with. They were your everyday moderns who disliked authoritarianism. The two sides were fearful, and called each other nazis. The exchange just led some people on the losing side to feel like they did have more in common with hitler than they actually did.
did
did you just say nazism was a boogie man?
wow
ummm sweetie, haven’t you heard how “nazism” has been a scaremongering tactic among progressives since forever now? Maybe you should, like, educate yourself on the topic first, the topic being my opinions. Nazism is in no way a threat to the American political system. They’re a minority group among minorities, politically speaking. Hell, Bush Jr was called a nazi, and America didn’t become the 3rd Reich.
The only reason people at all feel like Nazis are everywhere, is if everyone right of Obama is a nazi.
Maybe America should be worried about the Red Scare instead! Think about it, there was a American communist party, and now massively popular politicians like
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders are advocating for socialism, and groups like Antifa is running around the streets! Clearly, the next president is going to be literally Stalin, and lead to mass murder just like Hitler did.
like wow yikes queen

If you’re reading Destiel out of metas that don’t even discuss Destiel or bi-Dean, such as independent or growing brother metas, or team free will parenting Jack, or current active major plot mechanics, or basic states of address on surrounding environments or basic events transcribed act-for-act, maybe it’s not the people typing these things without even talking about Destiel or Castiel that you have the problem with.
I just read a dean stan saying that our metas reduce dean to a one dimensional character and tbh I’m cackling so hard I can’t even compute the stupid. If you’re reading our meta analysis that literally, the whole point, is tearing down the one dimensional performance TO talk about the layers and the other side of himself that he hides and coming away from that thinking we are saying he’s actually one dimensional I don’t think it’s us that are the problem either. If they’re misreading both the show and the clear, obvious analysis we write that’s literally pointing it out then… I don’t see any hope for them.
Idk. Get some Gatorade to boost the mind process or something, at this point I don’t know how to even try to fix the stupid.
we probably saw the same one. i saw someone say that we just want to reduce dean to the perfect housewife because dean loves to take care of people? idk, man. they’re wild.
dean is complex. he’s a warrior AND a caretaker. a fighter AND a lover. he’s what monsters have nightmares about at night AND a domestic god. he likes classic rock AND taylor swift. he likes pie AND cake. etc etc etc forever and ever
they think metas touching on his domestic and caring side are reducing him and it’s NOT. like you said, it’s talking about his other more softer layers because he has layers like any good character.
im not even a dean-focused fan and i understand dean a lot more than these so-called dean stans that want him to force himself to always be in charge and not slow down and heal because that’s what THEY want.
s14 is proving to the audience that dean doesn’t have to be in charge all the time for a compelling story and it’s proving to dean that he can do what he wants and no one is going to die because of him taking his time with life.
