Well, if people put into it.

If you’re like me, you’re raking your hands down your face in WTF at the Gencest wank off of extraordinary caliber, but someone’s putting together a BroBond Christmas Challenge to make up for it. Like, the not incesty version for people like me that enjoy good brother material, and I’m sure there’s a bunch of you out there that either read, or write brother-gen. 

So here’s the base profile: www.twitter.com/BroBondCC – as I know one of the people running it, they’re still forming the hard rules but it’s along the lines of no hard slash or triggery ships, no incesty content, but light shipping-adjacent may be allowed as long as it doesn’t consume the theme of the fic. The point is to be Sam & Deancentric at a core, but is TFW/FDEWB-friendly and you know, ship-lite moments of adjacent relationships aren’t going to be banned like NO YOU CAN NOT WRITE A SAILEEN MISTLETOE CUTE MOMENT IN THERE SOMEWHERE. Cuz is Christmas guys. And it’s about family and relationships. 

But yeah, their uh, specific legalities are being worked out by the minute. Give them a follow.

I don’t even do fic and I’ll gladly write into this challenge, I have some ideas.

Hey friends! I’m not a fic writer myself but if you are and if you’d like to participate in a new writing challenge this looks like a fun one! I haven’t been in on whatever wank is going on over “Gencest” but I definitely like the idea of a bro-centric writing challenge for people who want to flex some different creative muscles than romance-centered narratives use.
