Ah, their new hate boner for Bobo Berens and it’s multiple points of self conflict.

It’s almost… sad at this point? Like literally everything the pro-Destiel or even just pro-Cas camp has been telling them from the meta wing as the likely direction is the direction, but now they’re yelling about inconsistency because they refused that interpretation.

The following points were raised that Bobo wrote:

• Cas’ old “my responsibility” line
• Red Meat
• and 13×21

Now, they’re out and about, saying

• Bobo forgot Cas saying “my” responsibility
• Somehow lost track of Red Meat
• All the angryposting about 13×21

While missing the points of

• Dean correcting Cas that it was THEIR responsibility, Cas grew
• Red Meat was NEVER intended as a positive example and has been double-bookended to show it this year (13×5, 21)
• 13×21 is literally showing this has always been his goal, which We Been Showing You.

Growth is not inconsistency; it blows my mind that people think this still, like they’ve never read a book in their life or something, IDK. 

Berens has, from go, had several clear angles, regardless of how far he’s been allowed to take them

• Destiel (Jilted Lover Cas, Colette Cas, mixtape, win, etc)
• Wayward is HIS baby (female and queer power ftw)
• Culling the toxic codependency with full narrative

The sheer fact that they ever thought he was in “their corner” as they console themselves just because he wrote Red Meat has me rubbing my temples over here. There’s an entire wing of fandom that has been pointing out this yellow brick road of narrative for years, they plugged their ears and screamed it wasn’t so, and now they’re over here… screaming at Bobo… for writing… what, what he’s been writing the whole time anyway, it just finally slapped them across the face now?

Cuz they’re out here pointing at these episodes going “SEE?! SEE?!” and we’re like… …yes? [squinty eye] We pointed you to those episodes a year ago? No, not just that line. The one that came after it too. I know it’s a lot of words to read it all together but read what was said after that. There, you see? [pat pat on head]

They’re seriously out here trying to educate Berens on his own episodes while blatantly ignoring what the actual content of the episodes are. I can’t.
