1/2 With destiel issues, i like to do a lot of ruling out. So why can Dean say “i don’t want to lose you again” to Charlie but not Cas? Well, one option is that Dean doesn’t care as much for Cas. But looking at the logic and ruling out, what evidence do we really have for that? We saw how Dean reacted to Cas’s death. So we have no evidence for that option. But if he does care for him like he did for Charlie, what’s the deal? Well, we’re left to conclude that he does care for Cas.

2/2 Just not like he does for Charlie. So if he loved Charlie like a good friend/sibling and has no problem saying those things to someone he cares for in that way, he must not care for Cas *in that way.* So how does he love Cas? Because he most certainly does–we’ve established that. The show is not trying to rub it in our faces that Dean is just leaving Cas out of these verbal proclamations. They’re trying to show us yet again that Dean has issues in regards to Cas specifically for a reason.

yup.
