i hate it when people use the titanic as an example of a love story to equate with destiel, its not fair at all, i ship destiel because of the progress their relationship went through, like they went through a lot together, hell and back literally, and there is so many other reasons but what do you think?

It’s not about equating it, they’re not the same, it’s about noticing the romantic tropes that are used to establish it as romantic.

It’s saying in titanic they used THIS trope to say hey they’re in love, meanwhile that trope is also used with Destiel.

eg. just one example from the many in my post on the subject above:

It’s just saying yeah no shit Destiel is written as romantic by a writer who knows how to set up a romance story, not that they’re the same story.
