Ive reblogged this before but i wanna say something about me

You know those shit jokes they used to make? I used to fucking make them too. Im talking racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, dead baby/abortion, and, even tho i had family that were sexually assaulted, rape jokes. I was a fucking shitty ass person. Those jokes made up most of my humor from my teens to 26.

And now look at me. Im a feminist that tells people those jokes aren’t ok

Im not saying you should watch them because theyre much better people. To each their own. I’ll watch them because i love them and ya’ll can continue not watching them. What i AM saying is that never letting go of the past is not a good thing. Be critical of people in the spotlight, yes, but dont sit there all high and mighty and act like everyone needs to have been perfect from birth to present day.

People can change. Ya’ll need to accept that.

Don’t ya’ll get exhausted being mad at everyone thats ever done something wrong? Try and forgive those who have made tangible and lasting changes. You’ll feel better, believe me.
