Two things “Everything I did, I did for you” and “Beers forever” (whilst rubbing Alex’s hand) are like goals, and I have so many thoughts on it!

okay man honestly?? i’m gonna talk abt those scenes

alex is a cheerful and somewhat oblivious guy. he doesn’t seem to understand that not everything works out and he’s happy-go-lucky, but based on the brief glimpse we get on his past i don’t think he’s just dumb. i think he’s actually really smart but anyways i’m getting off track. my point is we never really see him disappointed or angry until the scene where ryland’s pissed and embarrassed, and starts yelling at alex. only when alex feels like ryland’s gonna leave does he get upset. i think that’s a good testament to how close they are. even when others mocked him and he got fuckin threatened to be evicted, he didn’t even break a sweat. the only thing that jarred him was losing ryland.

then the beers forever scene. ryland was pissed most of the time, or at least mildly irritated, but he was enjoying himself secretly throughout the episode (at least that’s what i think). then he starts taking out his frustration on alex, which seems to be a rare thing, and no one really interjects bc they recognize the importance of the argument. then the second alex gets hurt ryland does a fuckin 180 and is there in a second to help him, his own feelings be damned. that’s pretty fuckin powerful, esp when alex is like “and then beers?” as if asking “so everything’s okay?” and ryland not only affirms the beers (”yeah everything’s gonna be okay”) he then says “forever” as if to remind alex that yeah, he may get mad, but he’s always got alex’s back.

so yeah. i have some emotions abt them.
