So this is super shitty and all but did they actually have any say in this? I don’t think they have the power to get the producer to just cut a joke they don’t like.

Ok so I don’t know if you even watched the rest of the first episode, and I guess if you didn’t, spoilers, but the whole point of that guy’s character is that he’s an asshole? Who’s a dick to people for no reason? He represents elitist gamergaters, who are unparalleled douchebags? YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO LIKE HIM??? He’s the entire reason that the newscaster joins the team, because she hates elitist dickbags like him, ITS A PART OF THE NARRATIVE.

And the other kid’s character is an asshole teenager, also established in the first episode, who’s described as a bully? He’s basically a young four-chan/ reddit troll, so yeah, he’s not gonna be nice to listen to, and THATS THE POINT.

You’re reaching here, hard, to hate on the Game Grumps for no reason, and it shows. If you watched the rest of the SINGLE FIRST EPISODE even, they condemn this guy to hell and back for his shittiness, and the rest of the series goes on to damn people like him, IE elitist gamergaters, for being shitty to people. 

don’t chop up bits of the narrative to suit your needs, especially to try and put the creators in a bad light. It’s impossible to create a critical narrative without showing something that needs to be criticized. Just because something is shitty doesn’t mean that the creators condone it. In fact, they go to great pains to condemn it. 

TL:DR This is only shown so that the rest of the episode can prove that it’s a harmful ideology, so stop trying to find random ass reasons to hate on anything the Game Grumps do.
